Who We Are

Welcome to The Meyers Report. Our discussion group has been ongoing for more than 37 years. Our expert contributors have first-hand knowledge in their in their specialties and include Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and Republicans. The expertise in the group includes scientists, medical doctors, engineers, farmers, hotel operators, retailers, oil people, logistics specialists, manufacturers, philosophers, builders, diplomats, bankers, businesspeople, military, lawyers, judges, legislators (state, local and federal), first responders, a few politicians and many more.

Our goal is simple: We share knowledge and views. We are not a debate forum. We are a discussion forum, which does not tolerate angry rants. We want to know what is accurate, not who is right. We seek unbiased facts and welcome fact- based divergent opinions. We are not supported by any special interest group, lobby, or political ideology.

Gary Meyers – Founder of The Meyers Report

Gary has 40+ years’ experience in economic forecasting and real estate. His economic forecasting and real estate research reports have been used by major financial institutions in the Chicago market area, and in other cities in the US, along with agencies of the federal government and three presidential administrations. For more than 20 years he had a nationally syndicated newspaper package with a circulation of over 30 million appearing in more than 250 US newspapers.


Robert Genetski, Ph.D. – Economist

Formerly the Chief Economist for the Harris Bank, Bob is one of the most popular economist speakers in the country. He has headed asset management, investment research departments and served as the chief economist for several financial institutions. He has taught economics at NYU and The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. Bob has authored numerous books and articles on classical economics and monetary policy.


Edie Meyers – Corporate Operations, Retail, Media

Edie’s expertise retail trends and economic cycles. Earlier in her career, she was the highest-ranking female executive at two Fortune 500 companies. Her experience includes consumer products from retail, wholesale, and media perspectives. Edie is the Chief Operating Officer and one of the founders of The Meyers Report, which started as a graphics and text package syndicated to newspapers by United Feature Syndicate (UFS). At its peak The Meyers Report was UFS’s 4 th highest grossing feature behind “Peanuts.” Currently The Meyers Report is growing its online presence.


Paul McGonagle - Banking, International Trade and International Relations

Paul began his career with the U.S. State Department as a diplomat in the US Foreign Service. As Director of Monetary Affairs at the Department of State, he was the US government representative to the Paris Club, the forum in which foreign country debt to the US and other governments are restructured. Paul is an expert on international risk management, stemming from his career as an international banker and diplomat.


Arthur Pendragon - Veteran Combat Officer, Military Contractor, Expeditionary Operations Manager

A retired Lt. Col., Arthur is a specialist in Psyops, Asymmetrical Warfare, and Counterinsurgency. He has been deployed to the Mid-East, Far East and Africa. His company contracts to protect ships from pirate attack. He also is an expert on destabilizing governments through disruption of cultural and societal norms.


Hal Daub - Social Security, Healthcare and Government

Mr. Daub, an attorney, served two-terms as mayor of Omaha (1995 – 2001) and four-terms as U.S. congressman (1981 – 1989) representing Nebraska. Hal knows firsthand the inner workings of government on the city, county, state and federal levels. He served five years as Chairman of the Social Security Advisory Board, overseeing that agency. His expertise includes healthcare, nursing homes and physicians trade associations. Hal currently is the Chairman of a hospital group serving four states.


Don Day - President, Meteorologist, DayWeather, Inc.

For more than 30 years, Don and DayWeather has provided customized weather services broadcast to over 70 radio stations across Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska, emphasizing the rural agriculture listener. Day does corporate and media weather forecasting (short- and long-range) and analysis for stratospheric aviation, particularly for lighter than air vehicles (stratospheric balloons, airships, and very high-altitude experiments). Currently Don is doing research projects involving the lithosphere and weather conditions in the deepest reaches of the ocean.


Jeremy Perlow—National and International Food Supplies.

As an investor and trader, Jeremy has 30+ years’ experience in livestock (hogs, beef and chickens) and grain monitoring and investing. He is very aware of supplies, disease and weather conditions impacting world food supplies and the impacts of supply chains on production, sales and end- product distribution. Jeremy’s biggest advantage stems from his heavy background in computer science and programming which enables quality analysis.


Keith Armato - President of Union Street Tin Co.

Keith heads a family-owned 100 year old company specializing in tin packaging serving a world market. Keith also knows how other culture and economies compare to the United States. For well over 30 years, his company has been manufacturing in China and makes routine trips doing businesses on all levels. Keith knows the Chinese, their economy, their methods, their strengths and weaknesses.
